How it works

We'll ask for the address ourselves.

between us.

Most of the time, you don't have the address. That's the whole reason sending a real card is hard. Kind Post asks for you, gathers it privately, and mails the card so it lands in time for the day. We set the mailing timing by where it's going: about 10 days inside the US and Canada, a bit longer overseas. If we can't reach them in time, we send a digital card on the day instead. The card always arrives.

A kind text · +1 (587)

Hi Sarah, Adam wants to mail you a birthday card.

Could you share your address with us? Adam won't see it. Only we will. Reply STOP to opt out.

The cadence

How we ask, gently.

Four touches, max. SMS first, email as backup, and we always loop you in before the send deadline. Most people reply to the first text.

Day 0

A kind text.

We text them, naming you. They tap a private link and share their address with us. Reply STOP at any time.

12–24 hours

An email, in case they missed it.

If they haven't replied, we send a calm follow-up by email. Same link, same tone.

48 hours

One more nudge.

A second SMS. Short, no pressure. We never send more than this without going through you first.

Before send

We message you.

A few days before the card has to ship, we tell you what's happening. You pick: ask them yourself, keep trying, or send digital instead.

The privacy promise

Their address stays theirs.

We hold the address. You never see it. Even if they reply within a minute, all you see in your dashboard is "address received."

  • By default, the recipient knows the card is from you. If you'd rather surprise them, you can hide your name during the ask.
  • Hiding your identity may lower the chance they reply. We say so plainly when you choose it.
  • After it's delivered, we keep the address so you can send again, and the recipient can delete it any time.

After it's delivered

We keep it, so they're never asked twice.

Once someone shares their address, we hold on to it so you can send them another card down the line without us asking again.

  • You still never see it. We mail it for you, every time.
  • It's kept only for you, the sender who reached them. No one else inherits it.
  • They can delete it any time, from the link in any of our messages.

If we can't reach them

The card still arrives.

Sometimes people miss the message. Sometimes they don't want to share an address. We don't make you guess. A few days before the card has to ship, we message you with three options.

Your three options

  • Ask them yourself. We'll wait. You message them, we mail the card.
  • Keep trying. One more SMS goes out. If they reply, we mail. If not, we go digital on the day.
  • Send digital. A digital card lands in their inbox on the day. You only pay $3.99 USD.

Pricing

Pay only for what we actually do.

Add a payment method when you start. We charge once we know the outcome. No charge if the card never goes out.
